We are expanding our manufacturing footprint in Malaysia with a new clean manufacturing facility in Johor (SILC, Gelang Patah), Malaysia. This is a rare opportunity to help build something from the ground up.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with solid technical knowledge and proven experience in high-tech manufacturing to support our growth in Malaysia over the coming years. In this role, you will be involved in setting up new production processes, improving productivity and quality, and driving New Product Introductions (NPIs).

Duties & Responsibilities

· Production Expansion Projects

– Lead and coordinate project management activities for new CAPEX initiatives

– Develop technical specifications and engage with potential suppliers.

· Production Process Monitoring & Improvement

– Prepare work instructions, routings, checklists, and standard operating procedures.

– Support the scale-up of production processes.

– Work with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to implement process enhancements.

– Support planning and execution of internal and external audits.

· Production Quality Improvement

– Lead quality improvement initiatives.

– Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.

– Perform PFMEA, MSA, and related quality analysis methods.

· Maintenance

– Plan and schedule routine maintenance to achieve optimal machine uptime.

– Coordinate activities with maintenance contractors.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration

You will work closely with:

– Production staff

– Operations Manager

– Quality and Logistics teams

· Other Responsibilities

– Carry out any other tasks assigned by your immediate superior.

– Adhere to all ERIKS Health & Safety responsibilities.

Job Holder’s Specifications (Must Have)

· Possess at least Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in high-tech manufacturing environments.

· Strong background in process optimization, quality assurance and problem-solving techniques.

· Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma is an advantage.

· Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and project reporting.

· Basic CAD drawing skills, is added advantage

· Good project management skills (such as PMP skills).

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Experience with SAP is a plus.

· Experience with NPI, New product Introduction, is a plus
